Fossil has launched a new smartwatch dubbed "Sport", the first to be powered by the recently launched Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor. For starters, it comes in two sizes - 41mm and 43mm and a design that simply seems like a more colorful, sportier version of a few recent Fossil watches. Fossil says the Snapdragon Wear 3100 chip will continue to bring battery optimization as the software evolves. There's NFC for Google Pay, GPS, 5 ATM water resistance, a heart-rate monitor and an altimeter. The newly redesigned Google Fit app will be a great companion to the Fossil Sport along with the snappy Snapdragon 3100.
The watch will be priced at $255 (or around $351.79 AUD) or £249 in the United Kingdom and is available to pre-order in the United Kingdom and USA with shipping set to begin on November 12th.

The new watch costs United States dollars 255 and is available online.
The new chip should make a major difference in battery life, which has been one of the main issues holding smartwatches back. With the battery saving mode, users can get up to 2 days of battery life, which will disable all the smart features.
On top of that, the Fossil Sport will also ship pre-installed with some apps including Spotify and Noonlight, an app created to provide assistance and comfort. So, whether you forget your charger or just choose to unplug on the weekends, battery saver is created to stretch your watch battery to last until you can charge again.
Fossil has managed to squeeze through one more smartwatch ahead of the all important seasonal shopping bonanza. That's an admittedly low bar-which tells you all you need to know about Wear OS watches-but stay tuned to see whether the Fossil Sport clears it.
