EPL: Roberto Martinez speaks on Hazard leaving Chelsea for Real Madrid

Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard has declared that he will not tender a quit notice to join Spanish giants Real Madrid in the forthcoming January transfer window.

In a recent interview, the Belgium winger admitted he regrets how things ended with Mourinho at Chelsea, saying he would not mind working under the manager again in the future, which, interestingly, comes days after he revealed his life-long dream of playing for Real.

Mourinho oversaw a torrid start to the following campaign - losing nine of his first 16 league games - and was dismissed in December amid rumours of bust-ups with senior players, including Hazard.

But the playmaker conceded he may have to do more to be considered the world's best player, adding: "If it's the one who scores the most goals, I'm not the best".

He leads this season's Premier League scoring charts with seven goals as Chelsea sit second behind champions Manchester City, on goal difference, in the standings. Want one day off?

"Mourinho's image of an extremely defensive coach isn't completely right", Hazard said.

"He is far from adventurous like [Pep] Guardiola, but the season in which we became champions, we scored many goals and played good games". Then he is a friend of yours - you can do whatever you want (laughs). He said, "I have already spoken several times about my future, but there is no possibility that I will leave Chelsea in January". "I accepted it", Hazard told Telefoot. But I will never go into conflict with a club.

Talking to Corriere dello Sport, Sarri said: "His contract expires in 2020, but he's staying here". But seriously, I think that Modric will win it. It was better for all parties that the collaboration came to an end.

Real Madrid is linked with many world-class players to replace Ronaldo at Los Blancos with the likes of Neymar, Mbappe, Kane, Hazard all on the wish list for potential transfer for the past few months now with no success in any deal. "You have to get the fruits of your labour".
