Should the Colts pursue Browns WR Josh Gordon?

Depending on how you feel about Josh Gordon, we have good news or bad news.

Despite his being able to practice all week, on Saturday afternoon the Cleveland Browns declared Josh Gordon out for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints with a hamstring injury. But according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Browns intend to rule out 15 teams - including the Patriots - as potential trade partners for Gordon. Both would make sense for Gordon: The Cowboys have one of the weakest receiving corps in the National Football League and the 49ers are coming off a season where they were one of the worst red zone teams in the NFL.

Gordon is still just 27-years-old.

"Cleveland prefers to trade WR Josh Gordon out of the AFC, and to an NFC team, and that's the Browns' current intent, per sources".

Details are slowly starting to emerge surrounding the Cleveland Browns' shocking decision to move on from Josh Gordon.

Gordon's huge talent has been overshadowed by substance abuse that has derailed a promising career. I wish all of you nothing but the best.

He ended the post by writing, "P.S". The nature of the injury has since come into some question, and later Saturday the Browns announced they would release Gordon on Monday.

He started the opener despite coach Hue Jackson saying Gordon wouldn't be on the field for the first snap as punishment for missing camp.

It is unclear what the release means for Gordon's playing future. Gordon had 18 receptions for 335 yards and a touchdown in five games last season. Gordon missed the 2015 season because of a drug suspension and opted to spend 2016 in rehab.

If the Browns can get an asset for Gordon, they should listen to offers.
