Apple leads the way with more than just smartphones

Apart from the iPhones launched, Apple also upgraded its smartwatch, the Apple Watch series 4, with a larger display and enhanced smart features.

Apple launched the iPhone X past year, and for the first time in more than a decade sales did not go as well as analysts had anticipated.

Apple introduced its first £1,000 smartphone - the iPhone X - last year, and despite a slight drop in sales, the company has reported increased revenue and profit during 2018.

Another big feature in the new iPhone XS and XS MAX is improved bokeh.

A major highlight of the new models is support for dual-SIM and dual standby (DSDS), though this is implemented with an eSIM in place of the second SIM for most of the world, while China gets support for two physical SIMs in the iPhone XS Max.

The iPhone XS comes with a 5.8-inch screen, as the iPhone X did.

If the speculation pans out, the even-bigger iPhone would represent Apple's attempt to feed consumers' appetite for increasingly bigger screens as they rely on smartphones to watch and record video, as well as take photos wherever they are.

You'll be able to preorder the iPhone XS and XS Max here.

During Apple's event last September, despite the iPhone's dramatic redesign, the standout announcement for me were the changes to the Apple Watch.

'The iPhone Xs Max price reflects the name.,' Twitter user @juhasaarinen wrote.

And, Schiller said, the XS line-up features 'the most lovely iPhone we've ever made'.

The company is also expected to unveil a new version of its wireless AirPods earbuds with wireless charging and a wireless mat that will be able to charge several devices at once. This is, in fact, identical hardware to the Apple iPhone Xs and Xs Max, and should deliver some pretty stunning results.

iPhone Xs and Xs Max will be available for preorder from September 14th and they will be available in stores from September 21st.

The phones are equipped with faster processors and better memory capacities than ever before, relying on Apple's new A12 Bionic chip.

After months of speculation and anticipation, we now know what the iPhone XR will look like, and what it can do. At the front on each, there's a 7-megapixel TrueDepth camera. There is no 3D Touch feature here, but it does get a new haptic touch based system.

iPhone XR comes in five colour options of white, black, blue, yellow and coral.

However, the most hyped feature of the latest Apple Watch 4 is the built-in electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG feature).

As the size has grown, so too has the price, debuting at £269 in its first outing, and going as high as £1,499 for the highest spec on the new iPhone XS Max. Apple has also made the Breathe app into a watch face for easy access and other watch faces include a fire, water, and vapor dynamic watch faces.
