William And Kate Name Third Child Louis Arthur Charles

Louis, born on Monday, is the couple's third child after Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two, and fifth in line to the throne.

Under the 1917 rule, William and Kate's eldest, Prince George, could have the title but his younger siblings would have been called Lady Charlotte and Lord Louis Mountbatten-Windsor.

Kensington Palace announced Prince Louis's birth on Twitter just after 8 a.m. ET on April 23.

"Prince Harry served as best man to The Duke of Cambridge at his wedding to Miss Catherine Middleton in 2011".

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son Louis Arthur Charles", said a palace statement.

Other unconventional tributes to the newborn Prince Louis include a baby camel born at Blackpool Zoo on the same day and named in his honour, a series of sketches from Disney that feature Winnie the Pooh, and the promise of a tracksuit from former One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson. Charles is the most obvious in honor of the baby's grandfather Prince Charles.

In fact, the rush of new bets on the name Alexander cut the odds from 10-1 to 5-1, according to Ladbrokes, which still has Arthur as the favorite with 11-4 betting odds. "Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs".

The dramatic and fascinating story of her family lineage, with a branch from the royal bloodline.

He arrived two days after his great-grandmother the queen's 92nd birthday on April 21. And much like the Queen, the adorable royal - who just became a big sister to Prince Louis - has handsome wavy chestnut hair.

But luckily for us, we can expect to see the couple (and maybe a glimpse of Prince Louis) unofficially at his christening in a few months, the Royal Ascot, Princess Beatrice's fall wedding and, of course, Prince Harry's May wedding.

Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, for example, was born into the royal family, which entitles her to have "Princess" before her first name, which is different to Her Royal Highness Diana, The Princess of Wales.
