Passenger climbs into x ray machine at Chinese train station

"You see new odd things every day", a person wrote on social media after seeing the Dongguan footage.

A WOMAN was so concerned about her belongings that she crawled into an x-ray machine with her handbag.

However, after being told that she must also scan her handbag, she climbed on the machine, Hong Kong based South China Morning Post reported. As I'm sure they would be.

The freaky incident occurred on February 11 at a train station in Dongguan, southern China's Guangdong Province, according to Pear Video.

It's unclear though why she did such a thing - possibly she had a lot of cash that's traditionally given as a gift for Chinese New Year.

She was not allowed to carry her handbag with herself.

According to NDTV, the woman actually got on to the conveyor belt with her bag and made her way out from the other side (with her bag of course).

A staff member directs the bloke to the machine to put his bag inside and the flyer doesn't realise that it's for luggage only.

Security officers did not stop the woman who collected her other bags before going to catch her train.

Passengers behaving oddly at railway stations is nothing new in China, especially during the Lunar New Year period when tens of millions of people make their annual journeys home to spend the holiday.

Thankfully, the woman wouldn't have been exposed to that much radiation from the machine, but it's always best to avoid it if you can.

Even if you're particularly attached to your belongings, don't jump into an X-ray machine.
