Ronda Rousey to sign WWE Raw contract at Elimination Chamber

Ronda Rousey will formally sign her Raw contract at Elimination Chamber on February 25, Raw general manager Kurt Angle announced Monday night.

Interestingly enough, Rousey received a loud chorus of boo's from the fans in attendance at Raw.

Rousey's next WWE appearance will be at the promotion's "Elimination Chamber" event, but this is just the beginning as she figures to be a key figure for the professional wrestling juggernaut. Bayley pinned Banks with a Belly-to-Bayley off the second rope. Bayley was full of heart, Banks was clever and the match was simply electric. After Strowman was initially jumped while entering the ring, he countered Elias' attempt to hit him with a guitar by striking him down and adding a running powerslam.

"The Phenomenal One" also said that he thinks Rousey vs. names like Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Asuka, and Sasha banks would be awesome matches. I like that they're giving Alexa a little storyline as we build towards Elimination Chamber, and also that Absolution are being booked to long strong. Only notable part of the match was the heels doing away with Bliss on the outside, forcing James in a bad spot.

Mandy Rose & Sonia Deville def. Mickie James & Alexa Bliss via pinfall: Bliss, who saved James from an attack by Absolution last week, apologized to James backstage for her comments during their 2017 feud, saying she was jealous of the former champion.

More news: No. 3 Purdue vs. No. 4 Michigan State

Roman Reigns def. Sheamus via pinfall: Near falls and dramatic reversals littered this hard-hitting match. This segment was brilliant and both men are super over right now.

But Rousey is definitely not the first fighter to talk a lot of trash, the sport has seen dozens of men who talked shit, had setbacks, but were still loved by fans (Tito Ortiz anyone?). Yet the loss comes after the best singles match the two have ever engaged in.

Raw is continuing to roll toward WrestleMania, but it first has a pit stop in less than two weeks with the Elimination Chamber PPV, which is slowly shaping up.

Verdict: Raw makes it three for three on the road to WrestleMania. Even Apollo Crews looked quite good here. This was a really fun multi-man match and everyone got time to show their talents. That's when Angle added Rollins to the second-chance main event after the crowd chanted "Yes!" to the option.
