Many joked that the new baby sounds like Chicago West could fit in with the lineup of NBC shows set in Chicago including Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D.

Chicago was born via a surrogate. But Kardashian and West aren't pioneering the idea of naming a son or daughter after a city, according to Babycenter.com. The hospital is known as the preferred place for Hollywood celebrities to give birth, and it's the facility where the couple welcomed Chicago's big sister North, 4, and older brother Saint, 2.

Kanye was reportedly in the delivery room behind a curtain. "North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister".

The reality star simply tweeted: "Chicago West". 1920. Chicago West est.

Two days ago Kanye admitted that he "can't think of a name for their newborn daughter".

'Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, handsome baby girl, ' the reality TV star wrote on Monday.

Kim Kardashian's third child was born at 12:47 a.m. on January 15, 2018- and fans everywhere were overjoyed. Kardashian revealed in a post to fans that it was painful to not carry her third child-as she had her first two-but that it was a necessary step because she suffered from pre-eclampsia and placenta accreta, both unsafe conditions, during her previous pregnancies.
