Trump lawyer brokered $130000 payment to porn star Stormy Daniels

A report in a news paper claimed that porn star Stephanie Clifford - whose stage name is "Stormy Daniels" was paid $ 130,000 through Trump's attorney to be silent on an alleged sexual encounter ahead of presidential elections in 2016.

The payment was part of a nondisclosure agreement negotiations in the fall of 2016, just before Trump was elected, according to the report, which is based on "people familiar with the matter".

Trump Organization lawyer Michael Cohen authorized the payment in October 2016 to Stephanie Clifford - a.k.a.

Clifford alleges the sexual encounter with the president occurred in July 2006, when she and the president met at a celebrity gold tournament in Lake Tahoe. At the time of the alleged encounter, Trump was already married to his current wife, Melania, and had been since January 2005.

"President Trump once again vehemently denies any such occurrence as has Ms. Daniels", Cohen wrote the publication in a statement.

'This is now the second time that you are raising outlandish allegations against my client.

"Stormy said she met Donald Trump and then tells me about the golf tournament and how she's supposed to hang out with him later that night, and she invited me".

However, by November, "Ms. Clifford cut off contact with the network without telling her story".

The latest scandal to hit the White House involves a payment allegedly made by one of Trump's lawyers to an adult film star back in 2006.

Three more sources corroborated the Trump-Daniels affair, the Daily Beast reports, including Daniels' neighbor and adult actress Alana Evans.

The president apologized for the comments and denied that he'd ever sexually assaulted women. Trump Wednesday Melania in 2005.

Mr. Cohen also sent the newspaper a document signed by Clifford/Daniels that stated the affair gossip is untrue and any report which claims she received hush money is "completely false".

CNN asked Cohen, who had provided Daniels' statement, for her contact information, but he did not respond. Several women have accused the 71-year-old of sexual misconduct.

Text messages provided to The Times by Weisberg show him asking her about the details of the arrangement.
