Here Are All The Nintendo Switch Announcements From Nintendo Direct Mini 2018

Though it wasn't quite the spectacle I thought it might be, they did deliver on the hype-worthy news. Both experiences will be privy to an improved resolution and framerate, which'd be a much needed improvement from the original game.

A demo for the Dragon Quest Builders Demo is now available on Nintendo Switch and it will be released by the end of this month.

The game launches later this year, though Nintendo did not detail a more specific release window. It will be a paid DLC set to be released in spring 2018.

All in all, Nintendo 3DS continues to sell at a high rate, although the lack of releases this 2018 makes likely that the platform will see a considerable drop this year, and the same can be said for the PlayStation Vita.

Pokken Tournament DX is getting a new DLC Battle Pack, which will be released in two waves. A 2nd wave includes Blastoise, Mew, and Celebi. Wave one (January 31) will include new contender Aegislash and supports Mega Rayquaza and Mimikyu. There is the new "Artist" ability that lets you paint your own smackdowns and there's the "Spider" ability that lets you ensnare enemies. Co-op friends can also combine their abilities to produce new effects. It's going to get hectic. And out of nowhere, Square Enix's Nintendo DS cult hit (released a solid decade ago) The World Ends With You is getting re-released on the Switch and will be available at some point in 2018.

The definitive version of Hyrule Warriors is coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Even better, being on the Switch means that TWEWY's unique touch-based controls remain intact. The presentation was heavy on DLC and ports of older games, but what about new stuff? The update is coming in February. Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana is out on the Nintendo Switch this summer. It came out past year on PlayStation 4 and PS Vita, and it's headed to Nintendo Switch this summer. It's also coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The free update adds Luigi's Balloon World, as well as new outfits and snapshot filters. That's right; you have 30 seconds to hide a balloon in the world before a player must find it.

Payday 2 will also support local and online multiplayer, so you can hook up with your buddies via LAN if they have Switches or go online and use to find some partners... in crime. This near challenge offers a bit of competition in the Marioverse.
