The Overwatch League will be broadcast on Twitch

The Overwatch League Team skins have been released today, but players who want to collect them all will either be left empty-handed or spent at least $1200 on unlocking them.

League Skins are purchased with League Tokens, a new currency created especially for the League.

The Overwatch League will receive at least $90M over two years from Twitch in exchange for streaming rights, sources said.

The Overwatch League is Blizzard's attempt at turning its popular hero shooter into a legitimate e-sport.

The tab will also include the new Overwatch League skins.

To celebrate the momentous occasion, Blizzard has put team skins for each of the Pacific or Atlantic aligned teams for characters into Overwatch. Blizzard has given each player 100 League Tokens for free to unlock one skin, but the rest are available to purchase using real-world cash. Purchasing League Tokens supports the teams in a revenue split with Blizzard, although the details of exactly how the money is split have not been publicly revealed.

The Overwatch League and Twitch are also developing innovative rewards and other programs for fans, which will bestow the league's most steadfast viewers with unique Overwatch League in-game items with exclusives.

"That's why this historic and ground-breaking partnership is perfectly suited for Activision Blizzard, for Twitch, and-most importantly-for our growing global fanbase".

The two-year deal with Twitch gives the platform exclusive worldwide rights to all the matches, which will be streamed in English, Korean and French. Considering that skins are a big deal to many fans of the FPS, this news will be disappointing to those who were looking forward to adding to their collection.

The inaugural season kicks off tomorrow, and will run until June 2018.

Hometown pride won't be part of the first season of games, which will all take place at Blizzard Arena Los Angeles, in Burbank, California.

The Overwatch League's first season is broken up into four stages, with the first one beginning on January 10, and going on till February 10. The full schedule and information about ticket sales can be found at or you can look at the listings down here.
