In his rookie season as head coach, the Rams' record improved from 4-12 to 11-5, earning them a division title.

McVay will be honored during the 13th annual L.A. Sports Awards on February 6 at the Beverly Hilton.

The Los Angeles Rams may have just four players on their roster with National Football League playoff experience but they were not concerned at their practice in Thousand Oaks.

Experience could be the Atlanta Falcons' big edge as the only team in the NFC playoffs for the second straight year. As a team, the Rams have just 21 postseason games under their belt, which is by far the fewest in the NFC.

The Rams dream season ended abruptly on Saturday night with the reigning NFC champion Atlanta Falcons showing Sean McVay's team what it takes to win in the playoffs. "For this game, what was required was to have more run attempts".

Goff, who looked to struggle early on, finished 24 of 45, for 259 yards and 1 touchdown, while running back Todd Gurley would finish a strong 2017 campaign with 101 yards on 14 carries.

Quinn was the defensive coordinator at the University of Florida when Gurley II starred as a freshman at Georgia in 2012, and in the rivalry game that year in Jacksonville, it was the Bulldogs, led by 118 yards and a touchdown from Gurley II, that upset then No. 3 Florida 17-9. The Falcons are only the No. 6 seed, making the playoffs on the final weekend of the regular season with a home win over Carolina.

The game between the Falcons and Rams will kick off at 8:15 EST and will be televised on NBC.
