Each of these handsets is expected to be unveiled soon, but there is some uncertainty whether Sony will showcase them at the CES next week or during MWC in February.
Sony's 2018 low to mid-range line up has been starting to leak and today Evan Blass has spilled on the details of the Xperia XA2, XA2 Ultra, and L2, including renders of the phones. Now, some new renders have emerged online that reveals some key design language about the upcoming smartphones.
The report was first made public by Venture Beat and you can access it here.
Despite the lack of truly blockbuster smartphone sales, Sony has fostered a dedicated and loyal following with its Xperia line-up. One can see Sony is still following its age-old loop design in these devices as well. This makes a big departure for Sony who has previously made use of a side-mounted sensor built into the power button.

Moving on, there is a dedicated camera key on the right, while on the left, there is a SIM slot. I do like what Sony is doing with the rear-facing fingerprint readers, though. It also appears to feature a dual selfie camera setup. The smartphone will also retain the same display configuration as that of the XA1 Ultra. In terms of memory, the Xperia XA2 will ship with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
On the camera front, both the smartphones will bear the same rear camera of 21-megapixel with 4K recording. The Xperia XA2 will come with a 7-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. The device will run Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. It's easy to understand why the flagships remain strongly supported given their high-quality displays with almost-AMOLED color saturation levels, excellent cameras, and distinctively different design doings.
