Nokia 6 (2018) goes official with Bothie camera, OZO Audio

The device might be China exclusive for the time being and HMD might launch it globally at the MWC 2018 like it did with original Nokia 6. The device is available for pre-order in China and the sale is expected to start from January 10.

Hardware wise, the imaging aspects of the 2018 Nokia 6 are kept the same as of the original Nokia 6. The side profile is similar to what we have seen in the previous generation model launched a year ago and is robust as well. The 5.5-inch screen still remains Full HD only, and the "bofie" cameras, which Nokia is still marketing, are also the same. It is priced at CNY 1,499 (Rs. 14,641 approximately) for the variant with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The smartphone will be available in two colour variants - Black and Silver. Only, HMD has added minor updates to it now, so the Nokia 6 2018 now appears to be a slightly more refined product in comparison.

First of all, the Nokia 6 got a little smaller. However, a noticeable change is that the fingerprint scanner has been relocated to the back owing to the decision to use on-screen navigation keys. It comes equipped with a 16MP rear camera along with an 8MP front-facing camera. It is now powered by the Snapdragon 630 SoC, which is an octa-core SoC clocked in at 2.2GHz. While the rumors that surfaced in the past few weeks already revealed many of its specs and features, we finally know everything there is to know about the new model. The 2018 model of the Nokia 6 has been sighted on the brand's website with a price tag that reads ¥1499. On the front, you will find an 8MP 1.12um sensor with f/2.0 aperture using which you can capture fantastic selfies and video calling.

The phone boasts of a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Lastly, Snapdragon 630 brings along Quick Charge 4 support to devices. The new Nokia 6 also comes with the company's Dual-Sight technology which lets you stream and record simultaneously from both the cameras.

The Nokia 6 (2018) has a decent 3000mAh battery that should get you through the day.
