An Amber Alert was issued Sunday for two girls who may have been abducted by a man who has been named a person of interest in the suspicious death of their mother, Round Rock, Texas, police said.

Officers on Sunday responded to a request for a welfare check at a home located in the 2600 block of Leslie Court.

The missing children were identified as 14-year-old Lilianais Victoria Cake Griffith and 7-year-old Luluvioletta Mariposo Bandera-Margaret.

Terry Allen Miles, 44, is a person of interest in the woman's death and may be connected to the abduction, police said. She also has a stud in her right nose.

Miles has been sighted in northern New Mexico and southern Colorado. I was just glad none of my kids or my wife was here, "said James Reid, a neighbor of Bates and Miles".

Terry Allen Miles, 44, according to police, may have the children, but it's unclear what his relationship is to the girls. He has brown hair, hazel eyes and wears glasses & has beard. There is also a white sticker on the upper right hand corner of the rear window. Her hair is curly with a bit of blond on top.

Miles might be in route to Louisiana in a grey 2017 Hyundai Accent with Texas license plate number JGH9845, police said. Bandera-Margaret is 4-foot-5 and weighs 75 pounds.

A spokesperson for the Round Rock police department was not immediately available for additional comment when contacted by Fox News on Tuesday.

Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at 8:30 p.m.: Bates' boyfriend called the Round Rock Police Department anxious because Bates' wasn't responding and neither were her two daughters. RRPD said there wasn't a vehicle at the house and no one opened the door to the home.

Law enforcement officials believe these children to be in grave or immediate danger.
