A Series of Unfortunate Events season 2 premiere date official at Netflix

Throughout the show, all three of the kids are terrorised by Count Olaf, played by Neil Patrick Herris, and Netflix subscribers were treated to some of the same behaviour from Olaf on the 1st of January.

Announced in a teaser trailer on New Year's Day, the Netflix adaptation of A Series of Unfortunate Events will be returning on March 30th, 2018 for its second season. Thanks to the fine folks at Netflix, we now know officially the A Series of Unfortunate Events season 2 premiere date!

A new teaser reveals the first footage from the second season, as well as a look at Count Olaf's increasingly colorful costumes. "Now there may be some of you who are surprised that Netflix would choose this as the first face you see in 2018, but those are the same people who wouldn't recognise handsome if it set your house on fire".

In addition to Harris as Count Olaf, A Series of Unfortunate Events also stars Malina Weissman, Louis Hynes and Presley Smith as the Baudelaire children.

Beyond the second season, the great news is that there's already a third season of the show - with that, there are more opportunities for some great stories coming up. The first season of the show covered the first four books, and this new season will be covering the next five - with every two episodes covering one full book.

Season two, which covers books 5 through 9, continues as the Baudelaire children move from a boarding school to a fancy penthouse apartment, a vile village, and a few other depressing and short-lived homes.
