Arsenal Legend, Ian Wright, has been in the news questioning the attitude of a player whose contract at the Emirates Stadium will face its ends next summer and forcing a move to other clubs.
According to Wright, Alexis Sanchez has "clocked off" at Arsenal.
The report states that the contract consists of a basic £325,000-a-week ($434,000) deal along with image rights worth another £75,000-a-week ($100,000), which would make Sanchez one of the highest-paid players in world football.
Just quite how Guardiola would be expecting to use Sanchez amongst his already impressive ranks is anyone's guess and might be exactly why he wants to wait for the summer before signing the 29 year-old.
Arsenal are in the same situation with Mesut Ozil, who also has six months left on his deal.More news: Trump reportedly considered withdrawing Gorsuch's Supreme Court nomination
"It is bad business for Arsenal, for a club that is accused of being a business to allow two players like that to run their contracts down", Wright told Sky Sports.
Sanchez finished last season as Arsenal's top scorer and for the first time in his entire career he reached the 30-goal mark in all competitions, however, this campaign he has only been able to net five goals, assisting three.
Gooners, should sealing a top four place with an FA Cup be enough to see Ozil extend?
Meanwhile, Arsenal and Manchester United are set to go head-to-head for the services of Daniele Rugani next month.
With it looking unlikely Alexis will agree a new Gunners deal, Arsene Wenger must decide whether to hold onto the South American star and allow him to leave the club for nothing, or they can sell him this new year. It is disgusting business on the management side for Arsenal. The player was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City in the summer. For it to get to this point where they can be offered that kind of money.
