At an event in Mumbai on Thursday, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition. Those who are expecting any kind of cosmetic hardware changes will be disheartened.
However, for reasons only known to itself, the company has decided only to bestow The Last Jedi-themed handset on the good folks of India, as well as a smattering of fans in Scandinavia. Priced at Rs 38,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant, the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition will go on sale on Amazon.in, OnePlusStore.in, and at various offline OnePlus experience stores from December 15 - the same day Star Wars: The Last Jedi releases.
The wallpapers were extracted from a system update for the regular OnePlus 5T by XDA Developers member Quinny899, and look stunning. It comes with a gorgeous 6-inch bezel-less AMOLED panel, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The rear metallic panel also has Star Wars printed at the lower back in red colour and the company's logo takes its usual spot at the center. It features a white paint job, black power button, SIM tray, and volume rocker. There is also another version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There are a total of ten wallpapers inside the download, they feature Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma, stormtroopers, the Star Wars logo, a First Order wallpaper, a rebel alliance logo wallpaper, and the new Praetorian Guards. From the front, it looks the same as the standard 5T, but from the back, there's a massive difference.
