Honor 7X officially launched in India, pricing starts at Rs. 12999

At a launch event in London, Honor 7X was officially unveiled today. The smartphone, which delivers full-screen viewing experience, will retail at AED 999. The V10 comes with a 5.99-inch FullHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and 2.5D curved glass on top.

The rear camera setup on the Honor View 10 sports two sensors - one 16-megapixel RGB sensor and the other a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor, complete with an f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, dual-LED flash.

Honor is a leading smartphone e-brand under the Huawei Group.

Featuring a 5.93 inch 18:9 inch shaped screen, the Honor 7X offers a 12.5 per cent wider view than standard smartphones, making it particularly suitable for gamers and for split screen activities such as watching a movie and sending/receiving What's App/text messages.

The Honor V series, once limited to China, has evolved into Honor View, with the launch of the brand's most premium Western-targeted device to date. It's the same setup that gave the Mate 10 Pro's camera its clever object recognition capabilities, and Honor tells us the View 10 will receive the same functionality.

Honor 7x was initially launched in China in October and came in three storage configurations - 32GB, 64GB, 128GB. I also had a first glimpse of the upcoming Honor View 10 that will hit United States shores in the first half of 2018.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Honor View 10 runs EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0.

If you're in the market for a hefty mid-range smartphone, the Honor 7X may be worth taking a look at.

The V10 comes stocked with the latest Huawei-made internal components, including the Kirin 970 chipset, which brings the Mali G72 GPU into the fold. There's also a function for users to take a photo of a sign in another language, which can be translated to English - a similar function to Google Lens.

"Additionally, Honor is immensely proud of the quality control it undertakes in producing every phone". For the front camera, there is a 13MP sensor. Both will include a microSD card slot for memory expansion. The V10 will be launched in India soon and dates are yet to be announnced. Honor claims that its fast charging technology can charge the battery up to 50 percent in just 30 minutes.
