Vegas Casino Robber's Car Found, Search for Suspect Continues

Las Vegas police are still searching for a man who robbed the Bellagio poker room cashier cage at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon.

Officers responded about 3:45 the Bellagio, police said.

Police said the robber entered through the valet area of the Bellagio.

Las Vegas Metro has since issued a press release with two pictures of the robber taken from security camera footage.

Actor James Woods tweeted he was playing poker there at the time and didn't realize what was happening.

He walked up to the poker cage and demanded money.

Woods said the "excellent staff" were "cool under pressure". "He is described as a white male, 30 to 40 years old, between 5' 7" and 5' 9" tall, and weighing 160 to 170 pounds.

"We can say this - the individual was wearing a wig, had glasses on and a partially bandaged or masked up face".

According to officers, the suspect fled the scene in a 2011 Silver Chevrolet Cruz. Pelletier said, however, that it appears that person came "against his will", though he would not say whether the person was kidnapped.

"We're very comfortable that we'll get some good leads and apprehend the individual", Metro Capt. John Pelletier said, citing video and photo evidence.

The vehicle has since been recovered, although the suspect remains at large.
