Details about the recent Jersey Shore cast's reunion are finally coming to light. The series started to air on MTV in 2009 and ended in 2012. At its peak in 2011, the unscripted program about a gang of salty-talking, sun-worshiping party lovers lured an average of 9 million viewers an episode, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

During Monday's premiere of Floribama Shore, the second installment of MTV's Shore franchise, the network announced the original series, Jersey Shore, will be back in 2018.
Meanwhile, "Floribama Shore" is an eight-episode reality series that will tell the story of eight young adults who get to spend their summer on the Gulf Coast, Panama City Beach.
