If Klopp wants to make changes then he can look to his bench, where he has Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino as options.

Klopp surprisingly left Mane out of the starting line-up for the clash against the Premier League champions, with the Senegal worldwide only being introduced off the bench in place of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain towards the closing stages at Anfield.

England and Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana is set to make his long awaited return from injury this week as the Reds' face Chelsea at Anfield. However the forward and Klopp were involved in an argument as soon as the clash ended.

Mohamed Salah opened the scoring before Willian's fortuitous equaliser - which Klopp blamed on referee Michael Oliver.

"I know Klopp believes in him, but the earlier you are allowed to play in your preferred position the better".

"I think after the travelling midweek he's probably trying to bring fresh legs in", Gerrard said on BT Sport. "But no player's happy about that when you come on to the pitch with three minutes left and you feel like you've got 150 minutes in your legs already", Klopp was quoted as saying by the Liverpool Echo. "Everything is sorted immediately".

Klopp had to placate Mane afterwards and tried to give the Senegal star a hug.

'I wanted Sadio on the right wing. "Everything is sorted immediately and that's it".
