When it comes to pricing, the phones are believed to be sold for $649 and $849 for the 64GB models of the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. These images confirm the higher screen-to-body ratio as compared to Pixel XL launched a year ago.
The Pixel XL is said to be made by LG, per FCC documents and earlier reports, and this does look similar in design to both the LG G6 and the more recent V30. They'll also sport 12-megapixel cameras (no dual lens option here) and come in 64GB or 128GB versions, according to the latest report. This event will debut Google's new Pixel smartphones, as well as a flurry of other hardware announcements, which the rumor mill is pointing at a new Chromebook called Pixelbook, new Daydream View hardware, a Google Home Mini, and much more. This makes way for the 18:9 aspect ratio, something the Google Pixel 2 didn't have past year. Both will launch with Oreo on board. The leaked pictures also reiterate as the Pixel 2 is seen featuring thicker top and bottom bezels. This redesign ditches the signature Google pill that hangs to the top left corner of the screen and instead adds the Google search widget to the bottom of the launcher.More news: San Francisco Giants vs. San Diego Padres
With a five-inch, 1080p display, Pixel 2 is the smaller of the devices, featuring a screen whose aspect ratio is the formerly standard 16:9. One of the tweets has the image of the Google Pixel 2 XL encased into a case and the other one has the image of Google Pixel 2 XL without the case. Both devices will also most likely feature stereo speakers, according to the leaked photos. The 128GB models will be $749 and $949, respectively.
