Falcons lose to Buffalo Bills 17-23

The Buffalo Bills are heading down south to put their 2-1 record on the line Sunday afternoon against the reigning NFC Champion Atlanta Falcons.

Quinn saw top wide receiver Julio Jones plead to get back into the game, only to end up exiting to the locker room before halftime with a hip injury.

Jones was limited in practice this week with a back injury.

You could just tell from the opening kick that Buffalo played with more swagger than the Falcons. He threw a jump ball to Taylor Gabriel that was intercepted by Micah Hyde. A official review confirmed the turnover, which was Ryan's fifth interception in the last two games. The Bills can credit a revamped defense for the wins. Right tackle Ryan Schraeder and free safety Ricardo Allen were sidelined by concussions.

This coming week's bye gives the Falcons a chance to rest and recover. While the losses of Jones and Sanu were significant for Atlanta, plenty of fantasy owners are waiting to find out what the status of both players will be going forward. That formula nearly helped the Falcons win the game Sunday as the backs combined for 222 yards rushing and receiving. As fate had it, Atlanta came out of the game with a narrow 34-31 victory, but gave up almost 200 total rushing yards to an offense composed of CJ Spiller, Fred Jackson, EJ Manuel and Tashard Choice.
