Crystal Palace boss Hodgson: Ladapo an unknown quantity

Turning around Palace's fortunes will doubtless take time and the games do not get any easier for the former England boss, with United now joint-top of the table, behind City only on goal difference.

The club remain winless and goalless with six defeats in as many games leaving them bottom and serious candidates for relegation just one month into the season. No goals scored, no points, and thirteen goals already conceded. There is a lot of football left to be played. Even more unusual is this: The team's underlying numbers this season are not really bad - despite the terrible results. Frank de Boer did not make the cut, and was quickly replaced by Roy Hodgson.

Palace will have a decent share of absentees ahead of this contest. James Tomkins is sick while Tim Fosu-Mensah is also unavailable to face his parent club. The positive aspect, however, is that Freddie Ladapo is in contention to start according to Hodgson.

Amongst those in attendance at Old Trafford for the Crystal Palace match was David Beckham.

United have taken a liking to the 4-0 scoreline this season, and we are backing the same scoreline as our prediction.

Lukaku has scored 19 goals in his last 21 league games - one goal more than Crystal Palace in the same number of matches.

Midfield: United still have problems in midfield as Paul Pogba continues to miss out with a hamstring injury while Michael Carrick missed the win over CSKA Moscow with a knock. Juan Mata opened the scoring inside three minutes and Marouane Fellaini netted either side of halftime. "I think Jones I have many doubts". These both teams met 51 matches. The Ecuadorian, however, is expected to appear in the starting XI come kick-off time.

Jose Mourinho congratulated Romelu Lukaku for matching a Manchester United scoring record held by Andy Cole, but the manager insisted he does not only judge the striker on his goals.
