Kim Kardashian and Beyoncé pledge to help Houston flood victims


The family's matriarch Kris Jenner took to Twitter to reveal herself and her daughters - Kim Kardashian West, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner - have pledged the hefty amount to help the victims of the natural disaster now sweeping over Texas.

Kim Kardashian has announced her family are donating $500,000 (£387k) to the Hurricane Harvey relief fund.

On Tuesday night, Sandra Bullock donated a whopping $1million (£774k) to the Hurricane Harvey relief fund.

Hart then challenged a number of celebrities including Beyonce, Chris rock, Justin Timberlake, Steve Harvey, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Jay Z, Jerry Seinfeld and Dave Chappelle.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians producer noted she had taken on Kevin Hart's Sunday challenge to donate at least $25,000 to charities helping the victims. "But we know thousands of people have lost everything and now face the daunting challenge of putting their lives and communities back together, and we're using our unique resources and reach to help those in need". I accept the challenge and I implore and encourage everybody else, who can change and make a change for this, to please donate and help out.

The 35-year-old performer, who now lives in LA with husband Jay Z, grew up in the south-western United States city, which has been devastated by catastrophic flooding in recent days. "My mom, sisters & I will be donating $500,000 to @redcross and @salvationarmyus today #HoustonStrong".

In statement to the Houston Chronicle on Monday, Beyonce added that she was working closely with her team and her Houston pastor "to implement a plan to help as many as we can".
