Prince William and Harry will appear in 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi'

British tabloid The Daily Mail originally reported the rumors after the princes were photographed on the "Jedi" set at Pinewood interacting with the cast and crew and enjoying a mock light-saber battle together.

As promotion for Star Wars: The Last Jedi begins to increase, fans are hearing more tidbits sanctioned by Lucasfilm - and thanks to star John Boyega, a couple that probably aren't.

Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker, and Boyega, who plays Finn, were also on set with director Rian Johnson.

In an interview with BBC Radio 4, Boyega who reprises his role as Finn in the latest instalment in the global sci-fi franchise, revealed that the Duke of Cambridge and his brother play Stormtroopers. 'They came on set.

'I've had enough with those secrets, ' he laughed. "I'm sick of hiding this". "I think it will be hopefully unexpected".

During the radio interview, Boyega also confirmed another big celebrity cameo from actor #TomHardy.

A source at the time said the princes: 'filmed a scene in which Rey and Finn infiltrate a secret base.

What would make Star Wars: The Last Jedi even cooler?

'The rebel characters are in a lift with Benicio del Toro's character when a group of Stormtroopers enter - two of whom are William and Harry'.

"Every time I get asked, I don't know how to dodge it", the 25-year-old said Friday, according to Variety.

Still, it's nice to have the confirmation that the Princes and Hardy are in - following the massive number of cameos hidden in The Force Awakens - joining Take That singer Gary Barlow on the list of cameos. I'm exhausted of dodging it.

"The Last Jedi" soars its way into theaters December 15.
