The engineers did not mention which companies that Google is working with and what devices we are looking at, but we suppose it's still comforting to know that older Android devices might not necessarily be left behind. The Instant Apps service by the online search giant allows users to run apps on their mobile devices "instantly" by just tapping a link, With this app, people don't have to install the apps first.
The Instant Apps are being accessed by users across countries where Google Play operates. Vimeo with Instant App saw an increased session duration by 130 percent, while U.S. based Jet which is a shopping portal saw up to 27 percent conversion rate. And the customer conversion rates on the shopping app "Jet" has has increased by 27%. Onefootball has witnessed a 55 percent increase in the number of users who read the news and share content.

By sharing these stats, Google is encouraging developers to enable their app for Instant Apps and therefore enabled this feature for 500 million phones. One can check for the word Instant written to make it easier to spot the app.
Unfortunately for those of us eagerly awaiting the official launch of Android O, there aren't many details about the update included in this countdown page.
