The Destiny 2 beta begins on July 18 for PS4 and July 19 for Xbox One, and will have a PC beta in late August. Get off the Pike and you'll be in a constant Super-state. The beta period will end for all players on Sunday, July 23 at 11:59 PM ET. All told the first mission is incredibly packed, but it remains to be seen if the rest of the campaign can keep up that pacing.
Countdown: Enter the Crucible to battle other Guardians in a brand new mode. This mode also features a fixed amount of lives, so you can complete the objective or kill everyone. Attack or Defend the base on a new map custom-built to support this new game type.
There is also a co-op Strike, called "The Inverted Spire", where a fireteam of three Guardians must investigate odd happenings one on of the game's new locations, a planetoid called Nessus.
Destiny 2's beta is out and players are able to jump in and try out the next phase of Bungie's popular shooter.

Destiny 2 has a story mode that Bungie and publisher Activision promise is more cinematic than the original game's scattered story experience.
Destiny 2 is now in the playable Beta phase (for all those who can actually connect, I should say).
Be sure to not get attached to the Destiny 2 character that you create. The beta is just a tiny slice, a glimpse into some of what Destiny 2 has to offer.
