IPhone 8 Mass production Time May Be Postponed

The next iPhone is expected to launch later than normal in part because Apple has reportedly had trouble incorporating its fingerprint reading technology with the new screen.

Canaccord Genuity reaffirmed their buy rating on shares of Apple Inc.

This year there are three different styles of iPhone, namely the 4.7-inch TFT-LCD screen iPhone 7s, the 5.5-inch TFT-LCD screen iPhone 7s Plus, and the iPhone 8, which is equipped with OLED.

The report highlighted the fact that Apple's manufacturers, Foxconn Electronics and Pegatron, haven't reached yield rates that are strong enough for mass production of the new iPhone. Some reports have suggested Apple is still working out the kinks in the device ahead of volume production of millions.

Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty expects Apple to report an in-line June quarter and provide a weaker-than-consensus September-quarter outlook on August 1. Vetr upgraded shares of Apple from a "hold" rating to a "buy" rating and set a $146.43 price target on the stock in a research report on Monday, March 27th.

The last few iPhone models have begun shipping in mid-to-late September, now there is talk that the launch could slip to October a move that could give Samsung an advantage with the Korean Company still on track to launch their new Samsung Note 8 in NY in August.

In line with most previous rumors, analysts state that the iPhone 8's launch will be delayed.

Apple's iPhone 8 is rumored to come with an OLED display and feature a new Apple A11 processor, the handset will get a complete redesign and come with a stainless steel chassis and a glass back. Wireless charging is also scheduled to make its Apple debut for the new iPhone. The iPhone maker reported $2.10 earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter, beating analysts' consensus estimates of $2.02 by $0.08.

With a slew of leaks, rumors, and analyst reports, it is nearly official now that Apple's iPhone launch may get delayed.
