Bihar CM likely to take decision on Tejashwi Yadav today

The development has strengthened speculation that the crisis between the Nitish Kumar's party and the Lalu Yadav's Rashtriya Janata Dal has further deepened over allegations of corruption against the RJD chief and his family.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday instructed officials to prepare a plan for management of sewage water and said it can be used in irrigation to augment agriculture. The meeting also discussed the Metro project for Patna, installing energy efficient street light and arrangements for removal of garbage, it said. Sources within the ruling Janata Dal-United say CM Nitish is likely to take a big decision on Tuesday (July 18).

In response to Lalu's earlier remark of an FIR being insufficient to resign, Tyagi said an FIR is lodged only on the basis of thorough preliminary investigation.

With regards to reports of an apparent rift in the RJD-JD (U) "mahagathbandhan" or grand alliance, Tyagi re-iterated Lalu's stance on it, and said nothing will be done to harm their "baby".

Nitish's JD (U) has given enough hints that the CM's image is more important to it than sticking to power.

They said a formula which is likely to be worked out between the two parties is that Lalu Yadav will ask all RJD ministers to resign and give outside support to the JD (U) and the Congress to save the alliance.

On the Presidential election, the RJD leader, also seen as the real successor of the Lalu dynasty, said that hundred percent of the RJD and Congress vote had gone to Opposition candidate Meira Kumar.

Tejashwi named in a corruption case by the CBI.

The CBI later questioned Rabri Devi and Tejaswi.

The announcement of Mr Prasad has surprised as it is beingconsidered as tough stand against the desire of Chief MinisterNitish Kumar who has given signal to Mr Yadav to either come outwith fact based clarifications in public or resign from his post.
