Some people say the new device could be the Redmi 5, other people say it might be the successor of Redmi Note 4, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A, as the multiple rumours have also been leaked about the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A. Xiaomi has gained the Number 2 spot in the overall Indian smartphone market. While the official announcement is expected end of July, a leaked poster of the upcoming Xiaomi 5X shows the phone will launch on 26th July and most likely be launched alongside the LanMi X1. The smartphone which we previously reported as Xiaomi X1 under the Lanmi brand but after this new report, the first smartphone is going to be Xiaomi 5X. A leaked press render of the 5X claims the smartphone will boast of a dual-camera setup.

The poster was leaked a day ago. The poster also reveals a lot about the device, starting from its complete specs, and even the price. The upcoming mid range smartphone has been leaked online.

The Xiaomi 5X is priced at 1,999 Yuan (~$296). There is still no word on the launch or release date details of the handset. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. However, a previous leak suggested that the smartphone - Xiaomi 5X may come with Snapdragon 660. If the leaked poster is to be believed, there are a lot of features to be talked about, but since the image looks like an ad, we can not confirm the accuracy of the same. The picture hints a horizontal dual camera setup, similar to what we've seen on the OnePlus 5.

The Xiaomi 5X is expected to feature a thin metallic body and it is expected to arrive in color choices like gold and black.

As it can be seen that the Xiaomi has struck a deal with popular Chinese celebrity, Kris Wu for promoting the Xiaomi 5X.

Xiaomi is speculated to soon introduce a new sub-brand. The company is further said to compete with companies like Oppo and Vivo, which are majorly dependent of offline sale.
