A video showing Broncos wide receiver Cody Latimer slapping a strip club bouncer and getting pepper sprayed in the face was released by TMZ on Sunday, which has led to a response from both Latimer and the team. Police were never called to the scene, and there is not now any criminal investigation.
"It's unfortunate that something from six months ago that didn't result in anything all of (a) sudden becomes a big story".
In February, Latimer, his uncle and friend were turned down from getting into Diamonds Cabaret strip club near Dayton, Ohio due to dress code restrictions.
"It was initially a disagreement (between my uncle and the bouncer) and I was trying to break it up", he told KUSA-TV. I didn't want trouble so we got out.More news: Wimbledon Day 13 | Murray and Hingis take the Mixed title
Latimer said he has "grown so much" since the incident and is on a "really positive path".

In a statement, the Broncos say that they "are aware of the matter from several months ago involving Cody Latimer, and it's been discussed with him".
Latimer, 24, has 16 catches for 158 yards in three seasons with Denver.
