How Dragon Ball FighterZ Could Come to the Nintendo Switch


During the final day of Evo, the main producer behind the game (Tomoko Hiroki) came on stage to give everyone a special treat.

The new characters will be showcased in Japanese publication V Jump, which specialises in manga and manga-related video games.

In addition to the reveal trailer of Trunks, it was also announced that there will be a Dragon Ball FighterZ beta for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and registration to participate will start on July 26. Those fighters will most certainly be Goku, Vegeta, Teen Gohan, Frieza, Cell, Majin Buu (Fat), Trunks and two yet-to-be-announced characters. The registrations are set to open on July 26 (we'll have full instructions for you closer to that time), and will feature nine different characters to choose from. Despite being revealed during Microsoft's press conference, Dragon Ball FighterZ is coming to PC and PS4 as well as Xbox One. You can see him action in the 45-second trailer below, which reminds us that Dragon Ball FighterZ isn't due out until early 2018.

Basically, Hiroki is saying that Bandai Namco will determine interest in Dragon Ball games on the Switch based on the success of Xenoverse 2, with the "fan demand" he discussed in a previous interview being measured by that game's sales. So in turn, Dragon Ball FighterZ would likely arrive to the console after that. I only know who the first three are because I'm an old man.
