"I believe I have the potential to knock him out, but if I can't finish him, I'll win a decision".

"Gunnar Nelson is a tough guy".

"I trained very hard for a long time and I knew that the positive results would come", Ponzinibbio said. "This was a very big test for me". "I want to keep on climbing up those rankings, keep getting better, keep evolving and pretty much just close up all the holes in my game and become the best fighter I can be so that I can be world champion". I am the best striker in this division. Give me who you like.

This follows a loss in his UFC debut to Abdul Razak Alhassan in Belfast back in November of past year, and now leaves serious question marks around the Dubliner's future with the promotion. He also darted in with a lead left that caught Ponzinibbio flush. Sticking to the outside Nelson immediately took a wide stance as Ponzinibbio bounced stalked him toward the fence.

Joanne Calderwood lost a unanimous decision to Cynthia Calvillo after missing the strawweight limit by three pounds on Saturday. She almost secured a rear-naked choke only to have the bell sound to end the fight at the end of the third. If I'd had 10 more seconds she would have been done, she would have been tapped out.

It was the third win for Calvillo since making her UFC debut in March.

Leading the charge on the bonuses was Paul Felder, whose father succumbed to pancreatic cancer just before his son's fight camp started, as he prepared to fight Scotland's own Stevie Ray.

Ray, who is from Scotland and had the crowd behind him, unsuccessfully worked for takedowns early. The two ended up jockeying for position in the clinch, and Felder landed a handsome knee up the middle that dropped Ray to his back. He finished the fight with hard elbows out of Ray's guard.

Felder has quietly won four of his past five contests, recording finishes in three of those. He is 6-3 overall inside the Octagon.

Light heavyweight Khalil Rountree (6-2) knocked out Paul Craig (9-2) with an absolutely savage hammerfist at 4:56 of the opening round. Another quick punch as he swiftly closes the distance.

The end looked as if it would come via a stunning knockout.

The Fight of the Night award went to Fox Sports 1 Preliminary Card openers Danny Henry and Daniel Teymur.
