Disney is bringing 'Star Wars' to augmented reality

We're just a few days away from the biggest day on the geek news calendar in San Diego Comic-Con, but Disney is not willing to wait that long to get fans all frothing at the mouth.

John Boyega will reprise his role as Finn in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi", and the actor has revealed new details about his character.

We've seen some glimpses of the movie in a teaser trailer, but we get a pretty concentrated dose in this behind-the-scenes vid that shows off some cool fight scenes (Rey with a light saber!) and a bunch of weird new creatures (WTF is that glassy-looking fox?). Who is your favorite Star Wars character? "So The Last Jedi in all the things that it means is tied up in it".

She said seeing Carrie Fisher's footage in "The Last Jedi" has brought her back to those days when she was working with the veteran actress. New faces to Episode VIII, who were also present at D23, include Kelly Marie Tran who plays Rose Tico, Benicio Del Toro (DJ) and Laura Dern (Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo). Today is not that day.

The Rian Johnson-directed movie also sees the return of Daisy Ridley as Rey, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Lupita Nyong'o as Maz Kanata, Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma, Domhnall Gleeson as General Hux, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, and Andy Serkis as Snoke.
