Ann Coulter Is Enraged With Delta For Allegedly Giving Away Her Seat

The airline's social media and customer care teams made several attempts to connect with her to apologize for the seat mix-up; however, they did not hear back from Coulter until Sunday evening. She also claimed their motto must be "How can we make your flight more uncomfortable?"

The conservative author spent her weekend raging on Twitter against Delta Air Lines Inc.

Coulter, who has 1.6 million followers, likened Delta employees to Nurse Ratched and suggested the ideal job for staff would be a prison guard, an animal handler or Stasi officer.

Delta's statement came in response to Coulter's bashing of the airline on Twitter.

Delta said the incident that apparently set Coulter off was caused by confusion during boarding.

Coulter was flying to the West Palm Beach, Florida, from New York's LaGuardia airport when she was reassigned from an aisle to a window seat on the same exit row with extra leg room.

In an ironic twist of fate, Coulter's ordeal came after she expressed her famously unusual opinion in April when Dr. David Dao of Kentucky was violently dragged off a United Airlines flight that was allegedly overbooked.

"Her actions are unnecessary and unacceptable".

That woman and two other passengers stare at Coulter in the photo - perhaps wondering what will happen now that they have been photographed by the same unpredictable commentator who once wished assassination upon John Edwards, declined to condemn an abortion doctor's murder and joked about poisoning a Supreme Court justice.

A Delta spokesman said it appeared Coulter was in the same extra-room row, just in a different seat, but the company was looking into the situation, according to reports. However, within 24 hours of the flight's departure, she changed to seat 15D which is by the aisle.

"We will refund Ms. Coulter's $30 for the preferred seat on the exit row that she purchased". Delta expects mutual civility throughout the entire travel experience. Then she insulted the passenger, calling her a "dachshund-legged woman".
