Texas ATM spits out pleas for help

A man, hidden behind the machine, was locked in the service room that housed the ATM. In case you wondering if this is true, it absolutely is!

The KRIS report also states that "since the ATM still works, people were stopping by to get cash, and the contractor made a decision to slip out notes through the receipt slot stating, 'please Help".

A police officer driving near the waterfront in Corpus Christi, Texas, on Wednesday afternoon was waved down and given an unusual tip: An automated teller machine (ATM) was dispensing handwritten notes scribbled with an existential appeal - "please help". Nor did he have his cellphone with him to call for help.

Each note had a similar message, "Please help".

Initially, they thought it was a prank, however, one of them informed the police.

"Please Help Im stuck here and I don't have my phone please call my boss", the note read in part.

The man later told the police he had been screaming for help.

Pena said no one could hear the contractor in the ATM and said several officers had to kick the door in to rescue him.

"Everyone is OK, but you will never see this in your life, that somebody was stuck in the ATM, it was just insane", Olden said.
