Fox's Shepard Smith says Trump administration deception 'is mind-boggling'

Fox News host Shepard Smith, seemingly frustrated while hosting his afternoon television news program, accused the Trump administration of covering up "numerous lies", The Huffington Post reported.

During a discussion with Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace, Smith interrupted his colleague to inform him that another bit of information about Trump Jr.'s meeting had just come in about a "new", "mystery" person who was also at the meeting.

Most recently, Donald Trump Jr. last week revealed he had a meeting with a Russian attorney because he believed she had derogatory information on Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. "Why is it lie after lie after lie?"

"They tell us there's nothing to this", Smith said, building steam, "that nothing came of it, it's a nothingburger, it wasn't even memorable, I didn't write it down, didn't tell you about it because it wasn't anything so I didn't even remember it!"

"I don't know what to say".

There sure is, Chris. "My grandmother used to say, 'Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive'".

And on Friday's "Fox News Specialists", panelist Eric Bolling said Russian Federation may have been colluding with Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, not Trump Jr., to get information on then-presidential rival Trump. Jared Kushner and the whole White House gang for repeatedly lying about their contacts with Russian Federation during the 2016 election.

The president often retweets clips from Fox News programming, particularly Fox & Friends, and promotes appearances by his family members on the channel. "And why are we getting told all these lies?"

"The deception, Chris, is mind boggling", he told Fox News' Chris Wallace. "There's a lot of truth to everything that you've said", Wallace said. And the excuses they offer to explain the lies become more ridiculous every day.
