Recent estimates of Amazon's popular shipping and entertainment service suggest that more United States households will be subscribers of Amazon Prime than cable or satellite TV in the near future. Amazon announced Prime Day 2017 last week with an outline of what to expect during the third annual Prime Day.
Online retailer Amazon has a holiday, too: Prime Day, in which deals are rolled out constantly at the retailer's website over the course of the 30-hour event starting at 6PM on July 10. Bloomberg reported recently that a survey of shoppers by the bargain-hunters site DealNews.com proved that shopping through the devices simply hasn't taken off; more than 50 percent of respondents claimed the voice technology just wasn't any easier than ordering via their fingers.

We expect AMZN to announce its third annual Prime Day (PD) imminently after resounding success in the last two years (orders up 60% WW, 50% in the USA in '16).
"Amazon is planning one of its largest total volume TV deals in history with a record level of inventory but once again, the TV deals will likely sell out", the company said in a press release. There will also be deals on Amazon's Prime Now platform, which offers same-day delivery in some cities.
"As Prime members enjoy their summer adventures, family road trips and last-minute backyard barbecues, Prime Now will get them items they need in ultra-fast speeds", she added.
In addition to the US, shoppers in 12 other countries - including the U.K., Mexico and China - can participate this year.
