Apple's upgraded iPad Pro, Mac hits Indian market post GST today

The iPhone manufacturer announced the release of some new and upgraded models of iPads and MacBook Pros. Apple unveiled its refreshed lineup of devices last month at the annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Jose. The company's newly upgraded MacBook Pros, new 10.5-inch iPad Pro, iMacs, and more products got a price cut in India recently mainly because of Goods and Services Tax (GST). Both are offered in 64GB, 256GB and 512GB variants. For Wi-Fi and cellular variant, you need to shed Rs. 61,400 for the 64GB variant, Rs. 68,900 for the 256GB storage variant and Rs 84,500 for the 512GB option. Apple 27-inch iMac will be available at Rs 1,47,400, Rs 1,66,000, and Rs 1,90,400 respectively for the 3.4GHz, 3.5GHz, and 3.8GHz models respectively. The 10.5-inch iPad Pro is available at a price of Rs 50,800 for the 64GB model, Rs 58,300 for the 256GB storage option and Rs 73,900 for the 512GB storage model. The iMac variant with the Retina Display has a 3.0 GHz quad core Intel Core i5 processor.

Though there tech experts that described the 10.5-inch iPad Pro as a stupendous device for reasons that, its expensive price point makes it a computing device with add-ons to be bought about like the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard.

Price of the 12-inch MacBook with a single USB Type-C port has been slashed as well and is now priced at Rs 1,09,900 for the 256 GB variant against earlier price of Rs 1,12,900. Macbook Air which has got a minor upgrade from its 2-year-old 1.6GHz Core i5 Broadwell chip to 1.8GHz Core i5 Broadwell chip. These MacBooks have two variants. The 512GB variant will be available at Rs 1,28,700.

An upper version of 3.4 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 with Retina Display version is priced at Rs 1,23,700.

The devices sport a 13.3-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit display with IPS technology and 2,560x1,600 native resolution at 227ppi pixel density and come packed with an 8GB RAM.

Apple has also updated the iMacs with the latest chipsets from Intel and better Retina displays.

The new iPads also features redesigned Retina display, which Apple claims to the brightest iPad display yet. The 13-inch MacBook Pro without Touch Bar and Touch ID is priced at Rs 1,04,900 for the 128GB variant, while the 256GB variant is priced at Rs 1,47,900. There are also different price tags for 64GB, 128GB, and 512GB variants.
