(ThyBlackMan.com) Microsoft at E3 2017 announced Xbox One X gaming console, previously known as Xbox One Scorpio and Project Scorpio. Users with standard TV sets may want to upgrade them first before investing in the new console.
At first, the idea of Microsoft throwing out another console with a starting price of $500 seems a bit on the odd side. A host of these titles will be enhanced to run in true 4K, and many will be available at Xbox One X launch.
Xbox One is the only console system created to play the best games of the past, present and future.
According to the Xbox head, investing in software is important to Microsoft.
"That's why we launched S previous year, that's why it looks like it's the console that will have the most volume for us in terms of units sold", Spencer said.
But as Spencer indicates, there's a method to Microsoft's apparent madness.
There's one really good reason to put in an Xbox One X pre-order as soon as retailers start taking them. "And I wanted to make sure that the best that Xbox offers would be the best thing that anybody is offering right now". And if you're anything like me, weighing the pros and cons of each end always ends up in more indecisiveness. I'm gonna bet a large percentage of those people have a current-generation console already.More news: NBC vows to air interview with conspiracy theorist Jones
"I think our industry is better and stronger when Nintendo is strong [.] I really believe that".
Spencer knows this risk well, and he even admits that the Xbox One X will underperform in terms of units sold.
Microsoft have been pushing the sheer power of their recently titled Xbox One X since its early development.
During the Microsoft E3 briefing, the tech giant reveals its console's official name, the Xbox One X. The Redmond, Washington based tech titan also revealed that the Xbox One X gaming console will be available on November 7 with a $499 price tag.
Spencer announced that Xbox will expand the Xbox One backward compatibility library of almost 400 popular Xbox 360 games to include Xbox Original classics, starting with fan favourite "Crimson Skies".
But that's not unusual.
I've never been too much of a console player. Phil Spencer even said that it is in 'a league of its own', explaining that Xbox One S was more on par with the PS4 Pro in comparison to Xbox One X setting the bar higher for console gaming. It's both the most powerful and smallest console Xbox has ever built. The company says that Pro purchases now make up about 20% of all PlayStation 4 sales.
