Having stepped down as captain of Great Britain's Fed Cup team past year, Murray recently launched an initiative called She Rallies with the LTA to get more women and girls involved in tennis.
Dick Greenwood, the former England flanker and coach, also receives an OBE for services to national and global rugby.
That success - which also earned Stanning an MBE in the 2013 New Year Honours, was part of a five-year unbeaten run which would only end with retirement.
She went on to become the head coach for Scotland, helping develop players like Elena Baltacha, Colin Fleming and Jamie Baker along with Andy and Jamie, as well as mentoring Davis Cup captain Leon Smith.

In 2014 she launched Miss-Hits, a fun way of introducing tennis to young girls, and the programme is expanding around the world. "I was coached by my mum for a long time".
She also fronts the Tennis on the Road programme, which brings the sport to deprived areas in Scotland.
Double Olympic rowing champion Heather Stanning has been awarded an OBE for her services to the sport. "There are better players than me, but it's also hopefully a reflection of the person you are", Best said.
Jennie Price, the Sport England chief executive since 2007, receives a CBE for services to sport, specifically for her work increasing levels of female participation.
Former Great Britain rugby league coach Brian Noble also received the honour for services to rugby league and charity.
