Steve Harvey sued by ex-wife for $60 million dollars

Steve Harvey is being sued by ex-wife Mary Shackelford for $60 million, accusing him of "soul murder". Despite that reality, Mary claims she's still feeling the effects of their bitter separation.

The document was not filed by Shackelford's lawyer but a woman who claims to be her "civil rights activist".

Steve Harvey and Mary Lee Harvey got divorced back in 2005, with Mary now claiming that she has been suicidal and is on medication following their messy split. As it turned out, writers for the Daily News were easily able to debunk most of Harvey's ex-wife's claims, thanks to Steve signing a waiver early on to expose the documents publicly, in an effort to clear his name from Mary YouTube's videos.

Host Steve Harvey speaks during the 2016 Neighborhood Awards hosted by Steve Harvey at the Mandalay Bay Events Center on July 23, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada. "Soul murder is achieved by a combination of torture, deprivation and brainwashing", informs the suit. Steve and Mary Lee Harvey got divorced in 2005 and he won the custody of their child. But according to his ex-wife Mary L. Vaughn, it was their marriage that was hell.

She says she's physically and emotionally distressed.

Alleging child endangerment, torture, kidnapping and other counts, the suit seeks $60 million in damages.

This isn't the first time that Harvey's ex has made some wild accusations about him. He is now married to his third wife Marjorie Elaine Harvey, whom he married in 2007.

In addition to her obvious qualms about the conditions of their separation - including her access to their child - Vaughn was also sent to jail for 30 days in 2013 after violating a gag order, TMZ reported. They share a 19-year-old son named Wynton.
