Harden, James top All-NBA team; George, Hayward shut out

BOSTON LeBron James did pretty much whatever he wanted to against the Celtics in the Cavaliers' dominating win in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals.

The Cavaliers won 117-104.

James had 38 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.

Kevin Love, who hit four 3-pointers in the third quarter, scored a career playoff-high 32 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, becoming the first Cav other than James to amass 30 points and 10 rebounds in a playoff game since Brad Daugherty in 1992.

Cleveland's LeBron James has been named in the All-NBA first team for a record-tying 11th time, and Houston's James Harden is the lone player to be a unanimous first-team selection this season. Cleveland had 22 points in the paint in the first, and James scored 15 in the first quarter alone. Boston must find a way to slow down James while not getting eaten up by a supporting cast, which other than Kevin Love's big game, didn't produce at its usual high rate.

The Celtics were led by Avery Bradley and Jae Crowder, who each scored 21 points. Isaiah Thomas had 17 points. On the lone one-on-one possession in which Thomas was guarded by James - in the second quarter - the Boston guard was called for a traveling violation after James cut off his driving lane, contested his awkward layup attempt and forced Thomas to catch his own shot, resulting in a turnover.

Game 2 of the best-of-seven series tonight at 8:30 at TD Garden. They didn't want to see us in the second round. The Celtics rallied some and actually cut their deficit to 11 with the benches cleared in the final minutes.

Once the game started, there was little to get excited about for Boston. Reliance on three-point shooting failed them in the first half as they went just 2 of 16 from beyond the arc. "They were more physical", Thomas said. Here's everything you need to know including Cavaliers vs. Celtics Game 2 live stream with the Watch TNT app and more.

Harden made the first team for the third time. "Just knowing him over the last three years, when (the offense) starts inside-out, that's when his 3-ball gets working".

The Cavs, playing their first game since May 7, put on a clinic, leading wire to wire.

Or maybe Bill Murray can come help. "Obviously he got comfortable with what we were doing on the defensive end, and he had his way".
