Nelson event ends an era, LPGA Tour has battle for No. 1

"It's a course I do like to play", Poulter said of the TPC Four Seasons, where his tie for third in 2007 is by far the best of his four showings here.

Officials for the AT&T Byron Nelson and the PGA Tour announced Wednesday, May 17, 2017, that the tournament will move in 2018 to Trinity Forest Golf Club, a course located about 10 miles south of downtown Dallas that opened for play this month. That is because there are only two par 5's on the course compared to four par 3's, along with a pair of par 4's that eclipse the 500 yard mark - those being the 528-yard 3rd hole and 504-yard 15th. He was 59 last time at the Byron Nelson in 2014. Meanwhile, don't forget the European Tour heads to Italy for the Rocco Forte Open!

Since 2011, Duff has three finishes inside the top ten here, including a win.

This tournament was the first Tour event named for a specific player and has been a constant on the professional golf circuit since Nelson won the inaugural event in 1944.

"I'm starting to hit the ball a little better than I have the last couple of weeks". We'll leave that for you to decide.

Spieth wasn't the only player to grab headlines that week.

Day, who earlier in his career lived in nearby Fort Worth, is also a previous victor at TPC Four Seasons where his breakthrough PGA Tour victory came in 2010 and has had two other top 10s at the event.

The 18th hole features a unique "water cascade" that extends from the landing area to the green. "I feel that last year was a big confidence booster for my chances this year, because I had chance (to win) on Sunday". At 21, Kim was the youngest victor in Players Championship history.

Now back in Texas, Koepka could avenge his loss past year. He has finished among the top 12 five times in seven Nelson appearances. Johnson hasn't won this event but has four Top 10s in his past six trips.

Unplugging and playing a round of golf is about the last thing Earnest is conditioned to do during Nelson week.

Another player who fell victim to TPC Sawgrass, but Palmer had gone T6 and T11 in his previous two starts, so we wouldn't discount him if you're looking for a lower fantasy priced player. That's Koepka's only Top 10 in three trips. Perez hasn't missed a cut in nine events, which includes a T2, three top-20s and two top 30s. Both are in solid groups for the first two rounds so let's take a look at those and also a few others groups to watch on Thursday and Friday at the AT&T Byron Nelson.
