"We do not aim to do a five-way crossover", Pedowitz said. Black Lightning will also not be airing during the Fall schedule alongside Arrow, the Flash, Supergirl, or Legends of Tomorrow.
Pedowitz calls the show "a separate situation" from the networks' other series, something which is compounded by the fact that Black Lightning films in Atlanta while the rest of the shows film in Vancouver, making a crossover even more unlikely. He noted that part of the reason is logistics: Black Lightning films in Atlanta, while the other four shows shoot in Vancouver, Canada, making a crossover between the five stories logistically hard. "Our belief is that we will never have more than four DC shows [on] at a time, as far as that goes, so we'll always have a rotation of some sort". Pierce is hiding a secret: his ability to harness and control electricity, something which he used for years during his time as a vigilante. However, after too many nights with his life and his family on the line, he left his Super Hero days behind. Pierce is already an experienced crime fighter with a violent past.
Black Lightning is set to air in the United States this spring.
