Middle-earth: Shadow of War is now slated to be released on August 22, 2017 for Xbox One, Project Scorpio, PC and PS4. They're keeping that party going today with a new video that focuses on the various locations players will visit. The first half of the trailer treats us to glimpses of green, tropical coastal areas, frosty mountains, deep dark forests, and much more. It'll supposedly include more worlds to explore and an expanded Nemesis system, although all I'm really crossing my fingers for is a lot less brown than Mordor's opening levels. Along with the usual Mordor, there will be several new environments to explore like the Island of Nurn, Cirith Ungol, Gorgoroth and so on. Thankfully, we'll be spared the annual drought this year thanks to Middle-Earth: Shadow of War.
Shadow of War is being developed by Monolith Productions and published by Warner Bros.More news: Mnuchin: US partners more comfortable with Trump on trade
Shadow of War takes place across a variety of environments. Perception notwithstanding, that possibility space looks to be flourishing by geometric orders of magnitude in Middle-earth: Shadow of War, Monolith's followup for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One that's due August 22. The game will also be made available for Microsoft's newest system, codenamed "Project Scorpio", which is scheduled to release by the end of 2017.
Fingers crossed Shadow of War surpasses the original, like most sequels tend to do.
