PES 2018 Announced For September Release

Konami has pledged the game's PC version will be up "to the standard of the leading console iterations" after fans complained last year's entry was stuck between the current and last-gen console editions. Strategic dribbling gives the user significantly more control in possession, with the addition of contextual shielding to protect the ball, as well as simple stick controls triggering realistic, subtle movements, to wrong foot defenders. Konami has also revealed that they've implemented a REAL Touch + process which has players reacting to receiving the ball using various areas of the body from chest, head, and legs.

PES League Integration - Compete in PES League in new modes including myClub, Random Selection Match and Online co-op. "Konami is committed to breaking new ground with the PES series, and PES 2018 sees us enter the field more confident and determined to excel than ever".

A new co-op mode is also included, it seems, while the transfer system is reportedly improved.

Konami has announced and officially presented "PES 2018", the new installment of its popular sports franchise that will be displayed in detail in the next E3 2017.

"Core movements such as walking, turning, and posture have been reworked also", states a Konami statement, "while the player models now have greater variety, with attention paid to the way kits fit differing physiques". Bringing arcade soccer lovers on board has been a tough task that the new game could achieve.

Previous Pro Evolution Soccer games have been notorious for being hackjobs on PC, either total ports of PS3 and Xbox 360 efforts or a unusual halfway point of both. The team-managing experience Master League gets new immersive scenes like pre-match interviews and locker room moments.

That's PES 2018, where legends are made. It is also a game with an eye on the future.

But perhaps the most interesting announcement is the "substantial enhancements" that will come part of the PC version of PES 2018 - past releases having come under hefty scrutiny from the community for their less-than-satisfactory visual and content-based quality.
