Strowman's injury is of course a huge blow to WWE's plans at a time when The Monster was in the middle of a big push.

However, if Ambrose gets himself disqualified, he will lose the Intercontinental Championship. Pro Wrestling Sheet's Ryan Satin reported last week that Strowman would miss four to eight weeks after having a "minor procedure" on his elbow.

What's not certain is when exactly Strowman was injured.

Of course, another option on the table here is to let Strowman recover, tell him to sit home for another two months to rest up and end up winning the 2018 Royal Rumble in Philadelphia as a surprise entrant.
